St. John Main Street takes great pride in the historical heritage of our town, with particular emphasis on those landmarks within our downtown district.
We've begun to market our pride in order to share those things we find of most value and interest with visitors, newcomers, and long-time residents.
Our first "goodie" is a commemorative coaster set, made of white stoneware and backed with a rubberized padding to prevent scratching the surface of sensitive furniture. A set of four, each face boasts a black and white photo of a turn-of-the-century landmark. Featured are the St. John Depot, the Stafford County Courthouse, the Opera House, and the Victorian Square and Fountain. The purchase price of $20 is a tax-deductible donation to Main Street, the monies becoming part of the organizational budget for programs which serve the downtown district, member businesses, and residents.
