IWW Funding

Incentives Without Walls Grant & Loan Program

The Kansas Department of Commerce &  Housing established this program in 1995 by routing existing departmental funds to create an incentive package. As a Kansas Main Street community, St. John Main Street is pleased to be able to offer this program, on a competitive basis, to business and property owners interested in acquiring additional funds to create or stimulate private investment in the downtown.

To be eligible for funds, applicants must be member businesses located within the downtown district of St. John (current district map). Only historical preservation projects are eligible for grant funds. A matching requirement of $3 private investment for every $1 of grant funds exists with this program, and private investment cannot be monies already expended. Projects in progress are not eligible. All other projects are eligible for IWW loan funds.
